Need your help fabricating a display for my electric exhaust cutout!
I'm installing an electric exhaust cutout on my car operated by a rocker switch that opens a butterfly valve on the exhaust making it louder/quiter. Now I'm just wondering if it would be possible to make a little digital display that goes from 0-100, having the number increase related to the open position on the valve/decrease when more closed. Thanks! Edit: just to clarify, 0 on the display meaning the valve is completely closed and 100 being completely open. I know qtp had a device that does just this for the qtp cutout but I'm using a dmh cutout and am very doubtful that they would be compatible

You'll want a momentary switch, not a common toggle switch for the cutout
You'll also have to mount some sort of travel sensor or TPS to monitor the current position of the butterfly. A potentiometer would be the easiest route
Why not simply use your ears
