Im just posting this so other people can see what i have dealt with. I have been building a 90 f word pony for my friend. I personally would like to drop in a SBC but he wont do it. Any ways i removed all of the injection and computer to replace with a Vic Jr. and Holley Carb. The Distributor on the stock Ford is computer controlled so we needed a new one. My buddy is on a very tight(non existing) budget. So I called Procomp electronics to discuss options. The Guy told me that an HEI style distributor would be a great option so i purchased the one they recommended. After receiving the Dizzy i installed it, well tried. It would not clear the Heater hose. The next day i called and got a message that they were busy and to email them. I of course did but after 6 hours got no reply. So I called again. Press 0 and get an operator. The operator was the same guy who sold me the part. After explaining the situation He said he would have to get with the "boss" who just happen to be at Sema. 3 days later i called again because i hadn't heard anything. I got ahold of the guy (John) again. He said He still hadn't gotten any information for me. He said " you could send it back but THEY will charge you a 20% restocking fee." I told him that they recommended the part and I shouldnt have to pay anything. He also said "that i would have to pay return shipping". He then said" you could always sell it on Craigslist".Frustrated i asked what other part they would have that would actually fit. He then tells me about a dizzy with an external coil that would be sure to work. No Problem. PC7002. So I bought it with the coil and Wires just incase. After receiving the parts and getting them installed I had a few other things to address on the car. Mind you it is colder than Santa land and im working outside. Finally with a little better weather i get to try to fire up the car. I get it running and warmed up, to start setting the timing. After setting it to about 10 degrees btdc it starts to jump up around 30 and then back down. Everytime backfiring from the carb. After about 20 or 30 minutes trying to tune it, the car wont turn over. Just cranks. I tested power,spark, coil and even tried another coil. All is good just no Spark.Taking the cap off i instantly smell electrical burn. The Dizzy was Dead. The next day I call again to Procomp. Again i get the same options and same message to email. So I did ( see a pattern). Into the next day 28 hours later I call again And press 0. The gentleman Verifies my invoice number and phone number and says I will call you back. I never got a call yet again. The next day i call again, press 0 and get a different guy Stan. He takes all of my info again and said i dont see anything that shows you called. HE then says "I will give the information to our return guy and he will Get ahold of you." I ask how long that will take. He said "well i know he is a day behind so Monday sorry." So here i am waiting for Customer service.LOL They have got to have the worst service i have ever seen. After all of this i spoke to another guy who had a distributor that actually caught on fire the first trip down the track. I wouldnt recommend their parts for a paper weight.Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra on a better product. Even if money is tight your time is worth something. BTW here i am 4 days later and i still havent gotten a reply to the email. The labels on the parts are just stickers and they are already coming off. No doubt these are very cheaply made over seas POS.... Needless to say I also sold the HEI on Craigslist because NOBODY ever called or emailed me back So i am assuming the "BOSS" is either still in Vegas and cant find his way home or Doesnt care anymore than his Service reps.

I can tell you I am glad we learned about it on a Fword and not my Iroc. Sounds mean i know...
