Turn Signals and Hazard Lights.
Hello electrical people. I have a problem with my turn signals. When I oeiginally bought the car, the turn signals worked. Now they don't, and neither do the hazard lights.
I found on of the flashers(the silver dome thing to the right of the steering column). I believe that is the hazard flasher. It looks to be new.
If Iam correct, I believe the turn signal flashers are the two silver blocks on the fuse panel on the driver's side.
Although hazards and turn signals don't work, they still turn on when I hit the switch. The dashboard does not have the flashers come on either.
Do I need to replace the silver fuses/flashers, or is it something else?
Oh yeah, I also have a fog light problem. There is only the one on the passenger side, but I does not come on. Do I need the other for it to work?
Thanks people, and sorry for the vague terms.

Re: Turn Signals and Hazard Lights.
1. Wrong... Turn signal flasher. Hazard flasher is in the convenience center behind the ALDL to the left of the radio pod with the chime (dinger) and the horn relay.
2. Wrong... Power accessory circuit breakers, one for windows and the other for others.
3. Wrong... Park lights are dual filament. You don't have flashers or signals outside either. If you did, the indicators in the instrument cluster would at least light up.
There are 2 fuses in the fuse panel to check. If you have brake lights, the STOP/HAZ fuse is good. If not, then check that one and that should get the hazards going again UNLESS you have a short in one of the turn signal wires. The other fuse is the TURN/B/U fuse. If you have backup lights, this one is good. If not, then the same thing. It would be next to impossible for BOTH flashers to be dead at the same time unless one has been dead forever and a day and the other one more recently.
I had a wire for the left front turn signal cut and shorting onto the metal steering shaft in the column. Which would blow the fuse when the left turn was used and the other when the hazards were used.
One fog light should work if the other is not installed...

Re: Turn Signals and Hazard Lights.
Well, I was looking aroung today, and I checked the bulbs, and theyare all good. Re-checked the fuzes, they are all still good.
I have brake lights and backing up lights, and all lights come on normally(except for fog lights, which probably aren't hooked up).
I noticed in front on the dinger (blue box), there is only 1 white box/fuse, when there looks like there should be 2?
If they are shorting in the column, do I have to pull the wheel?

Re: Turn Signals and Hazard Lights.
Should be the blue dinger box, the white horn relay, and a 552 hazard flasher in the convenience center...
If the hazard flasher is missing, maybe the PO or someone had to replace the turn signal flasher at some point and used the hazard flasher instead of going out and buying a replacement. Which later died and that's why you don't have turn signals now. Just a guess.

Re: Turn Signals and Hazard Lights.
Which is weird cause when we drove it home my dad said they worked...
The blue dinger and the white horn relay are there, but there is no hazard flasher. There is a silver dome-like thing to the right of the steering column, I thought that was the flasher.
