no cig lighter, hatch, horn, door locks
ok i've searched and seen lot of folks with this problem. my acc fuse is fine. i do beleive i have changed it before...always after my son borrowed the car and just HAD to plug something into the cig lighter. so i looked in it and it's a little crusty. The ACC fuse is still good. i even replaced it just to make sure i wasn't seeing things. the acc fuse socket has power. I saw one post where it was suggested that the ignition switch could cause this problem. there's no fusable link AFTER the fuse is there? a relay that could make all this go dead? wire harness connectors don't normally come apart on their own...so what you guys think?

Re: no cig lighter, hatch, horn, door locks
I looked at the diagrams and all the items are powered by the ACC fuse. 1 of the diagrams says courtesy but it should be the same fuse. Have you checked for power on both terminals of the fuse? Dont assume that the fuse is ok even though you already replaced it. If thats ok, I would start at the fuse box and trace the wire. Even check for a bad connection where the fuse plugs in. There are other items powered by this fuse as shown in the cig. lighter diagram. Check to see if those items are working if your car is equipped with them. The only thing I see thats common with all the items is the splice S203, but if everything isnt working, the open in the wire would be before the splice. The orange wire is going to be what you focus your concern on. I have included diagrams to help you out.

Re: no cig lighter, hatch, horn, door locks
well i thought i was onto something when i located the orange wire and found that somebody had used one of those plastic " pincher" connectors to hook something else up to it....maybe a CB radio or something- there were some small holes in the dash from something that had been removed....so anyway i took the connector off and the orange wire was fine and had power. of course i don't know if this orange wire was coming FROM the fuseblock or GOING to it.....gotta look at it some more.

Re: no cig lighter, hatch, horn, door locks
Ok i did a little more digging this weekend. Going from the wire diagrams. i followed the bigger orange wire to a Junction block on the drivers side kick panel. There is power at the larger orange wire going into this block, but NONE of the smaller orange wires have power- with the key on or off. Does anybody know if this means my ignition switch is part of the problem? or what it might be? thanks

Re: no cig lighter, hatch, horn, door locks
ok here's an update....after lots of digging and checking, i found that the ACC fuse socket had a slight amount of corrosion on it that kept the current from flowing. so even though the fuse was good, it wasn't making good contact. So thanks to everybody who tried to help me with this- most of you were right! it was the fuse!
