Re: turn signal problem

Sounds like the flasher module under the dash has failed. There are two, one for turn signals and one for hazards. IIRC, the turn signal module is secured by a clip attached to the steering column in the vicinity of the fuse block, the other is in the convenience center with the horn relay and door chime (keys in ignition, lights on, etc). It looks like a round, silver can with two leads attached.

Re: turn signal problem

Most likely the socket itself, it's easy enough to replace once you remove the small panel it's installed in. I've replaced them in both of my Camaros. If you get a new one, you may have to ditch the old connector and splice on the connector or wires that come with the new one.

Turn This Way

The turn signal flasher is clipped on the fuse panel, as delivered from the factory.

However if it has been replaced it might just be hanging in the maze of wires.

You can turn on the flasher then hopefully it will click and help you locate it.

No, however you can remove the flasher, then see if the fuse still blows.

If it blows you will know the short is in the circuit before the flasher.

If it doesn’t blow you will know the short is in the circuit after the flasher.

Nope, the hazards function uses a different flasher.
