Where to mount temp probe on Hayden fan switch?

I'm going to fit a Hayden fan switch as my primary fan only comes on when the secondary fan kicks in. Where is the best place to locate the temperature probe that the fan switch comes with? I'm at work so don't have the part number but it's the actual probe type that would slide between radiator fins rather than screw into the head or block.

Advice on where abouts on the radiator is the best place to put it is much appreciated.

As close to the inlet as possible.

Twin Turbo is correct, that would be the right location.

However, if you are interested in fixing the problem instead of adding on to it with a hack, feel free to use this troubleshooting article to find out where the problem lies: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=36

Hope this helps.
