Engine: LO3, 305 TBI Mildly Modified
Transmission: BakerBuilt 700R4 w/B&M Megashifter
Axle/Gears: 3.23 Auburn Pro Series LSD
Alt cuts out at 3.5k
i have never seen an alternator do this, its cuts out at 3.5k RPMs and dont work till its under that again
goes from 14.4 v to 12.x v when it cuts out
its a 200 amp powermaster
just started today to, any ideas

I made a regulator once for an outboard, and it would behave just like that. It was a design flaw, but I guess that's not quite the issue you've got.
The only things that comes to mind is brush float caused by worn brushes, or the magnet wire in the rotor having a flaw somewhere and being pulled apart by the sentrifugal force.
