I have an '84 Trans am and one day when it was raining I wet to move the car and when I turned the lights on the guage lights went out, the lights flipped up and now they won't go down. I manually put them down and hit the light switch and they popped back up but still won't go down by themselves. The guages still do't light up. If anyone has had a similar problem,or has any ideas, help would be appreciated.

well i sort of have the same problem... my head lights are fine but my interior cluster lights wont turn on. so far i have found which fuse its supposed to be and som jack a$$ apparently put a 10 amp fusein mine when its only supposed to be a 5 amp fuse. now i think my wires may have been burned and are no longer useful due to no conductivity. i have a 86 trans am (daily driver) and an 88 fire bird (parts car). im going to pull the wires from my 88 out and replace my 86's wires... when i get done ill let you know how it works for me... BTW have you checked your fuses... if you havn't it will be the one next to your radio fuse.
