dimmer switch chaos / cluster

Hey all,

I just swapped in a V8 interior harness so that I can use V8 gauges with my idiot light stock dash. Surpisingly, most everything went really well, just one small problem.

If I turn my dimmer switch off of the highest setting, my cluster no longer works, all of the back light lights go off, the turn signal / high beam lights come on, and the gauges all lose power.

As soon as I rotate it back up all the way, everything starts working again, and the fasten seat belt buzzer comes on as if I just started the car...

Any thoughts??

Re: dimmer switch chaos / cluster

Could it be something as simple as the switch?
