ignition noise ... driving me crazy

Hey all,
Need some ideas / help. I have a 89 bird with an MSD 6A Ignition box and an Accel Dual Sync Dizzy. I am getting lots of ignition noise in my stereo. I removed the belt and started to car and still got the noise, this is how I found out its the ignition instead of the alternator. In any case I purchased those noise suppressors from Best Buy and it didn’t work at all. I also made sure that my stereo was grounded correctly and it was, the MSD and Dual Sync is grounded correctly. So how can I get rid of this noise?? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Re: ignition noise ... driving me crazy

Do you have spiral-core plug wires? These can really help with ignition-related noise, and not a terrible price either. Just remember to keep one of your old wires around, cause timing lights have a hard time picking up the signal off of them. Imagine that.

Hmmm...was that "Noise reducer" the type with +in, +out, and ground? All those do is elimate voltage spikes and dips, not audio noise. They can only make a difference when voltage spikes(i.e. alternator) are the issue.
