Starts w/ remote start fine but clicks most times with key
Anybody want to venture where to begin on fixing this problem? I'm guessing it mostly has to do with the wiring between the remote starter and the ignition switch if they tapped in there. If they didnt, (i didnt install this) then I'm guessing i have a bad ignition switch and the remote starter goes straight to the starter with its own relay???
How is this usually done?

Sounds like it could be your ignition on the column if things work fine with a remote start. That would be my guess where to start looking for your problem.

I agree... It sounds like your ignition switch. The remote start uses relays, and bypasses the switch.

i was pretty sure most remote starts used relays and bypassed the actual switch... I think I'll just wire a manual button to that same relay and not make it work with the key at all for theft deterant. maybe a hidden magnetic switch...
