Where to get lights/door chime/buzzer unit
The chime unit (blue box 7 flat connectors) in my 88 is drawing current all the time. I dont think it should be doing this and I want to replace it if I can. Question is where do I get one??
Part number is 10037041 but I already tried gmpartsdirect and they dont have it.

Think I tried to get rid of it a few years ago and something else didn't work and I had to put it back. Headlights, signal lights or something. Can't remember.
Should be able to get one at the junk yard for cheap.

Ok so I just checked my helms manual and this item along with some others (headlight door controler) are solid state electronics that always draw power...
is that right?
I searched the board and found someone that said that anything under 15mA of draw with the key "off" is normal. I will check this tonight.

I have a couple of these chime units that came off of camaros that I will give you but can't tell you if they are the same for the firebird. I'll check the part no. in the morning and let you know.
