No I dont think it has a buckle sensor or anything. Cuz it should go off in like 5 seconds or something. Id just unhook the bulb if I was you. That light is useless anyway.

There is a switch, originally in the left-hand side seat belt setup. I'm guessing that lukerene's car has been converted to right-hand drive(?) so it's hard to say how that was handled. However, the light should go out on it's own in 5-10 seconds after startup. It is controlled by a set of contacts inside the black or grey box located in the convenience center, which is located above the hush panel on the left side, near the center console. The convenience center also houses the hazard waring flasher, and the choke heater and horn relays. It may need replacing; it's the only one there with more than 3 contacts - it has maybe six or eight.
