Likely cause for unwanted 2600 rev limit ?
1991 Formula AFR Stealthram 355 hits an unwanted "wall" at 2600. No matter what is attempted, it will not exceed 2600. I put the distributor on the Mercruiser dyno and it read excellent to 10K rpm. The testing of the distributor included the ignition module, cap, and pickup coil. All other aftermarket equipment (Coil, retard control, ignition box, etc) has been eliminated as the cause. The ecm has been eliminated as well as the prom. In a last effort to fix the problem, I have removed the entire engine harness, unloomed it, and spread it out in front of me. What circuit(s) when failing could cause this? I'm going over each wire as we speak. I'd appreciate any advice as to the problem! Thanks!
The ground loops were properly secured to the firewall near the passenger side head and also to the head itself.

You might want to try checking your plug wires. If they get to worn, they cannot transfer enough voltage. I had that problem once. I got an extra 2000 rpm from switching wires
