Wiring harness question
I am in the middle of an engine swap and am trying to get the wiring harness out of the engine bay (I am also going to paint the engine bay- so need to get it out of the way).
I see that the main wire bundle goes from the passengers side to the drivers side firewall.
My question is: Does the wring harness unplug from the firewall on the drivers side?
I see a connector there and unclipped it, but the wire bundle does not move.
Any info appreciated-

Also- if this should be posted elsewhere- please advise

There is a 6-9mm bolt (I forget which size exactly) in between the 2 harness plugs that needs to be backed out before they will disconnect from the bulkhead connector.

Thanks for the reply-
I will try that- now that you mention it, I recall seeing an approx 8mm nut on the firewall there.

wire harness removal
You say you are doing an engine swap, right? What are you switching to, and if it's not another 305, are you looking to sell your 305 tbi wireharness?

Am switching to a 350 tbi. No, not interested in in yanking my wire harness to sell. Was looking to get some of it out of the engine bay to make cleaning and painting the engine bay easier.
