Trunk release switch & Power Mirror Switch
OK. I have an 84 Z28. I noticed that I have a trunk release solenoid, but the switch is missing.
What does the switch look like? How many wires are there and how does it work?
I have an empty hole between the two window switches, is this where it would go?
Power mirror switch works only to raise the mirrors.....the other directions don't work. What to do?

The trunk release switch is inbetween the window switches. How many wires, I think three, dunno let me check. If you go to a J-yard and look at some Camaros (you will need a switch from there I'm assuming) then look at the wiring when you pull it out. Should just be a plug that plugs in, simple.
Power mirrors, mine did the same thing, went up and down, but not side to side. I just pulled the mirror switch (just need a Torx bit) and cleaned the contacts with alcohol and pressed the plugs back in pretty good, they work to this day.
Hope this helps.

Got the mirror switch working well. Now what about my sluggish power door locks?
Any ideas there?
I cleaned them up in much the similar fashion, but they still are rather sluggish.
I have to push the switch 3 or 4 times to fully lock or unlock the doors.

The best thing to do is remove the door panels and put some lithium grease on all of the moving parts and joints.
Thats the best thing to do, but the second best is getting a can of WD40 with the straw on it, with the windows rolled up, spray the heck out of the inside of the door. Spray inbetween the weather striping and the window. If you can see WD40 dripping out of the bottom of the door, then I'd say you have sprayed enough. Worked for me.

I'll give it a shot, but not with WD40! I won't touch the stuff. There are plenty of alternatives though.
I'll repost to show how it went.
