Prom burner other than Moates?

Since Moates has shut down, what other options do I have for a chip burner? I already have a working aldl cable and a 7747 ECU with an adapter soldered in to take at29c256 chips but can't find definitive info on an alternative burner for them. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Can always use a 27sf512, pocket programmer, Batronix, or

Thanks for the quick response! I guess what I'm worried about is if using another programmer, will I have to "stack" bins or lean how to offset where they go in the eeprom? I read the Moates with TunerproRT did all that on its own. Also, I see lots on people using 27sf512, is the computer I purchased with at29c256 socket not as good or less ideal? I don't really understand the difference between them yet and keep finding myself in threads where the things being discussed are confusing me more than helping.

Re: Prom burner other than Moates?

Not using a bin switcher. I bought the ECU used from a guy that upgraded to EBL flash and now just wanting to be able to tune it for my combo.

Re: Prom burner other than Moates?

Flash and burn is easy to use just look at chip and 4k file size set offsets.

Jamie, does the new burner work in tunerpro or does it need a separate program?

from what I heard the communication is all the same, so it works in other programs, but it does also come with its own version of Flash and burn from what I see on their website

They appear to have taken over selling moates products. They even have the Ostrich 2.

not sure they really "taken over" I was told they are re creating products to fill the gaps in the hole that was left by moates abruptly leaving. The burner they made is a look alike only because they found and used the same "Off the shelf" cheap case.

Re: Prom burner other than Moates?

T48 [TL866-3G] Programmer (Ebay) will program just about any EPROM from 2708, 2716, 2732 (24pin), and 2764 through 27512 (28 pin) at any programing voltage up to 25V (Most of the older EPROMs use 21V). I ordered and received one about a week ago and have programed a few 2732 EPROMS and also a 29512 EEPROM. Software is easy to use. I don't think it will interface directly with TunerPro but works great (so far) as a stand alone programmer.

Re: Prom burner other than Moates?

Hey btcpj62, you're welcome to participate within the community provided you follow our simple rules and guidelines. That does not include calling out staff, using references in a derogatory manner, nor making legal threats to our site. Our staff are volunteers who help the community with their time, effort and knowledge. Members contribute the same, as well. We will not always agree with each other or the actions taken. In this particular case, multiple posts were removed, not just yours, that were simply back-and-forth complaints that distracted from the topic.

I would suggest you review our ToS, which is linked in the footer of every page. If you have any legal concerns, our legal team will handle them. Not posts on forums.

Now, let's please return back to our topic.

Thanks!

after all people usually DISCUSS things on forums, there cannot be a multi way DISCUSSION to specific topics of you constantly delete the side you don't like hearing

Doesn't look good when you keep favoring a "sponsor" for no reason, especially since they are breaking the law by posting unfounded libel and defamation all over the internet. I will have my lawyers also contact this board (as I already had them contact the person I am referencing) if this keeps up and legal action WILL be taken.
