Code 45 on $8EA
I’m using the correct xdf to burn chip for 1990 LT5. But each one keeps coming up w a Code 45 which is Cyl Sel. In the previous one, I disabled the MALF and everything was fine. And it happens whether I use anprom or emulator. Should I keep doing disabling the flag or am I doing something wrong?

Re: Code 45 on $8EA
Code 45 is left O2 sensor lean. Code 41 is for cylinder select. Typo?
If it is code 41 it may be that the MEMCAL isn't seated into the adapter. If the stock MEMCAL is plugged into the MEMCAL socket and no code. Then something is wrong, it may be as simple as the code 41 test value in the BIN is corrupt.
The cylinder select test value should be 0 (in the BIN).
RBob.

You are being gracious. No, it was my screwup. It is a Code 45, so Lean O2.
However, I'm also getting SES light at startup w fans coming on full time. And this is a similar issue I had w on another ZR.
Would a Code45 cause fans ON?

Re: Code 45 on $8EA
With the fans and SES at startup, sounds like limp mode. Does the SES do the blink at key-on, engine-off? If so then not limp mode.
Code 45 shouldn't cause the fans to run. And code 45 shouldn't be set until the ECM is in closed loop and the fuel trim goes way high.
What happens if you use a stock '90 BIN? If that works OK it is back to the current BIN being corrupt. Maybe there is an error or two in the xdf file. Easy to do.

Re: Code 45 on $8EA
Thanks RBob. Yes I figured the Code 45 would not cause fans to come on and that would indicate Limp Home mode. I don't see the Cyl Sel param in the .xdf I have, just the Flag for it to Set or not. I'll see about trying stock bin.

Re: Code 45 on $8EA
RBob,
Looking at the .xdf I have, the Code 41 Error shows Cyl Sel 00=8. However, the param shows a 0.00. The address is 0x4BD in the $8EA Mask. Should I modify the Conversion?
