88 TBI ECU in a 90 TBI car

Ok so I just finished swapping my 90 305 TBI Formula Auto over to a T-5 manual transmission. When I bought the transmission an ECU out of an 88' T-5 car was included.

The car runs and seems to drive fine with the automatic ECU with the neutral safety switch in the Park position. Is there any reason that I need to swap the ECUs? Does anyone have pinouts for these different ECUs?

The 88 1228063 is a one year only ecm. The 1228746 89-92 tbi f-body is a plug and play once the vats is removed from the prom programing. Unless the car is bucking on decal or unless you want a more common ecm no reason to do the swap.

Try the '8063 ('88) ECM and see how it is. You may find that it has more get up and go.

Note that the P/N input to the ECM should be open (drive position).
