SA table question

Little confused on how the sa table works. Say an engine has 6 degrees initial timing. And let's say I'm running Down the road at 1600 rpm and 50 map the table might say 30 degrees in that cell. So is the car getting 36 degrees total because there two are added together or just 30 ? Thanks

Re: SA table question

No, the at-crank timing will be 30* BTDC. That is when all other modifiers are not taken into account. There is a good write-up in the Tuning Guide Book sticky on SA. Chapter 5, 8063/7747/8746 ECM section: SA Logic

May not match your ECM/MaskID exactly, but gives a good idea of how it all fits together.

RBob.
