EBL - DFCO rpm drop to exit

anybody know what time frame this parameter uses. Rpm must drop this amount in ??????(sec, msec, usec) to exit DFCO.

No time frame required. RPMs just have to drop the required amount, no matter if it takes secs, mins or hrs. Usually this happens when you depress the clutch when in dfco (if you have a manual trans)

Re: EBL - DFCO rpm drop to exit

I'm not so sure. Case in point; Today on the way home when i decelerated down a hill, dfco went active at 1900rpm and remained active until 1500rpm (which is my lower threshold for dfco). My DFCO rpm drop to exit is only set at 50rpm.

I'm suspecting that, with a stick car and no neutral switch, this setpoint is to determine how quickly the rpms are dropping. if it is above the setpoint, the car must be in neutral (or the clutch is in). If below, keep dfco. For the setpoint to work it must be converted to a rate of change using some time interval (ie. 50rpm/sec, 50rpm/msec, 50rpm/usec, etc).

You are correct about it being an anti-stall tactic. The RPM drop is over 50 milli-seconds.

RBob.

Bones, I completely misunderstood what you were asking. Sorry for that.

You are right and Rbob has already confirmed that.
