165 dual fan control question

hey guys i recently converted my 84 z28 to an l05 with lt1 cam and tpi anyway have the fans set up so that one fan is ecm controled by the ecm and one is controled by a derale thermostatic switch however the the derale fan control sux its very erratic somtimes is will come on a 130 sometimes not at all

can i simply wire the fan feed side(B+) of the ecm fan relay to energize the low side of another realy to control the second fan this should minimize load on the ecm circuit, also i could double the fan anticipate iac steps to minimize the idle fluxuations

does that sound ok

if there is another forums this would be better in let me know

Re: 165 dual fan control question

there's another way to do this, if you have a bad memcal code, both fans will run because the netres tells them to so to speak, therefore, there is a fan controll for both fans in the ecm, just has to be,, turned on in code. i have no idea how to go about this, i just know potentially with no wiring that both fans can be ecm controlled
