Tuning 7749 Ecm

I finally had a light bulb turn on today and was able to get my 7749 ecm running. I hadn't any idea that the VE tables were a little different. I found that the F31E (Closed Throttle) must be tuned in 1st. Then the F29 table which is VE above 0% throttle. I have to thank RED~N~GOLD and Grumpy for their knowledge. I should be almost ready tomorrow night to fine tune. One problem that I am still having is acceleration popping.

I am running a sbc 355 with 38# injectors and a TPIS Miniram. I know the miniram likes it fuel so I am guessing that I need to pump up the fuel in an AE table. I was told before that the F22 (AE Delta throttle contrib ~VS~ Delta TPS all tables should be put to 300 otherwise you will encounter a rich bog under acceleration. Does anyone have any ideas??

Re: Tuning 7749 Ecm

8D MR tunes have the AE increased about 1.5 to 2.0 above stock.
But that is usually with 24's or 30's.
I've never looked into the $58 AE tables.

Re: Tuning 7749 Ecm

My current configuration with the car would definetely be above stock config. I did find some useful info on http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=36086 but they still do not address this issue correctly. The next problem I am getting is I have to actually start the car almost 5 times before it stays running and runs good. I know the tables in the $58 are around the F50 - F59 range. I just haven't figured that one out as of yet. Tuning of the 7730 ecm so much easier.

Re: Tuning 7749 Ecm

I don't know what happened last night but everything started to work right. At least I know the INT & BLM's came right togethor around 128. Getting some strange knock counts on the 749 that wasn't on the 730 ecm though. I removed the adapter that I made for the 749 and put the 730 ecm back in. Plugged in the 1 bar map and restarted the engine. I wasn't able to get any knock counts. I tried everything and got around 10 or 11.. I get 405 right off the bat as soon as I start the car when the 749 is plugged in. Any ideas???
