O2 swing points

Re: O2 swing points

The feedback from the O2 sensor is used by the ECM to aim at the target AFR. The fueling will be changed (via INT/BLM) to move the PW to the targeted O2 switch point (the window).
The bottom line is that in closed loop operation the ECM is always targeting the O2 switch point(s).

I've massaged my 02 switchpoint windows for idle to get me to within .2 above cAFR 14.7 and then a max of .5 below it (14.9 - 14.2). I've also lowered my proportional gains at idle too.
I think with the overlap on my cam, that helped tame the idle a lot. It's kinda rich, but the WB AFR is tracking closer to my desired cAFR.
MnRL - 637.98
Rich - 664.02
Lean - 598.92
I realize that's probably rather rich, but it's pretty solid at an idle now.
