Datalogging help!

Transmission: T5
Axle/Gears: eaton posi 3.73 gears
Datalogging help!
I have 7165 ECM w/ AUJM prom (6e) and i can only read it with datamaster and im not partial to dumping more money into this when i barely know what im doing.
So far i have tried Tunerpro RT and ECM852 and they dont read my aldl connection (i have moats connector and adapter) and ECM852 actually killed my prom!! i dont understand which side of moats switch is the top or bottom and which has the 10k resistor and i dont want to take it apart cuz i might break it and im NOT good with soldering or electronic type stuff.
SO my question is, what can i do for datalogging now? i only have a few tries left on my datamaster logger. Thanks!
