BLM temperature trouble

I've been having trouble adjusting my chip for different MAT and coolant temperatures. When the car is cool, MAT under 90 and coolant under 165, I'm running rich around 117. When the collant gets up to normal 185 and the MAT isstill under 90, I still get blm at 120-121. Only at MAT above 100 do I see 128's. I've been adjusting the MAT inverse table but I don't see any changes.

I have a 92 5.7tpi with 7730 ecm. I use winbin as the editor. Thanks for any help.

It would appear that your cold spark adder is causing this. More spark will make your blms go lower than 128. I find the stock tables are little jumpy, they need to be smoothed out.

In winbin the only spark adder I see is "Startup Spark Advance vs. Coolant Temp (C)" However I think that my problem has to do with the MAT. The hotter the MAT is the leaner th BLMs get.

Ok, I see what your saying, the spark vs. coolant may still be playing a part however. What does your MAT inverse table look like. Also EGR could be playing a part, you should disable it if you havent already.

My current table(L880E) is:

128 96 64 42 36 26 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16

The original one was:

128 96 64 36 27 20 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16 16

I didn't get much change in blms with either table. Am I changing the right values? Car is running too rich under 35 degrees celsius.

My egr has been disabled with software and removed from engine.

I'm a truck guy with 747 ecm, so i'm no expert on the 730.

But isn't the 92 tpi using a MAF sensor, or is it using a MAP sensor. If your MAF, then the IAT is only used for adjusting your EGR (Not 100% sure). Which would explain shy changing the table isn't doing anything, but the changes you make really weren't that drastic.

Try this thread:

One guy posted his mat table for his relocated mat, from what I here relocating your mat is the way to go.

I've read every MAT post out there, I must be changing the wrong values or something. I don't have a relocated MAT and the TPI uses SD. Thanks for trying Low C1500.

Sorry, I don't know what else to say, Other than try getting another .ecu file, there might be one on diy-efi.org that has more varibles to change regarding the MAT.
