Daytona Sensors, Modotek, etc PROGRAMMABLE IGNITION TIMING???

i'm sure this is a simple question for someone....i am considering geting the Daytona Sensors (used to be Modotek) CD-1 box with their n2o controller, retard **** and wideband logger. my main concern is once i wire this box into my factory GM harness/computer and program the advance curve and n2o activated retard, will this program conflict with what the factory ECM is trying to do? i have used a regular Crane Hi-6 before and i know the rev limiter works just fine and when a retard switch/nitrous controller is activated it works fine, almost as if overriding the what the computer would be trying to do....i would think the timing curve will act the same way but when i called daytona sensors they were unsure if it would conflict with the TPI ECM. has anyone used these boxes or one similar to them? i'm starting to understand more of these computers every day but am still more apt to carbureted systems which this box was primarily designed for. here is a link to the box....pretty much a dumbed down tuning program. simple like the NOS launcher but for ignition only. which is what i'm looking for. i want to use this box primarily because i will spraying nitrous.

Thanks!
