Check Engine Light and smell of fuel
I have had my motor rebuilt in my 89 firebird, everything stayed original, I am smelling fuel and my check engine light comes on ,I had a sensor scan and it showed egr problem, I have replaced the valve, , could it be the cylinoid ? if I replace that and have the same problem, what do you think the other problem could be?

Re: Check Engine Light and smell of fuel
Do you have the original ECM?
At least when my prom broke down, i had the same issues.
on about 2 weeks i had the ses light on for about 15 times and it smelled gas sometimes, then after 2 weeks it started to smell more gas and it stalled. and suddenly it wouldnt run at all.
And that was my prom.
