I have an 84 Z28.
i ask this because i always see people (mostly the later years/TPI/TBI) talking about burning chips and what not for their cars.
but i'm wondering if the computer has a serious effect on the earlier years.
do people with CCC get chips burned and their computer tuned?

I have a 1984 Vette. Is your question for the 84 crossfire camaro? I cannot speak for the CCC carb other than it recd feedback from an 02 sensor to control the A/F I recall. Spark? Not sure. Prob not.
My 1984 ECU I dont believe is supported for tuning. It did control A/F and spark. Hypertech did produce some chips for it that lean out the WOT a bit and add some advance. For stock applications or mild mods.
