DFI Gen VII and N2O

I don't have a 3rd gen, but F-bodies are F-bodies...right!?

I've been searching all over the net trying to find out how to tell the DFI that the master switch is turned on and armed so that it will recognize and use the Stage 1 settings I have programmed.
I could not find any wiring diagrams except for one vague one with in the program itself, but it does state how to get the DFI system to "see" the N2O is online.

I've tested my N2O system and its 100% functioning from the relay forward.

Accel's customer support is non-existant, I've been waiting 2 wks for a reply now for the "ask tech webpage" and have called 4 times. If I had known the tech support was so lame, I would have bought something else. Ok, I'm b!tchin'...sorry.

Basically you all are my last hope, LOL.

So how do I get the DFI to "see" the N2O is armed? What needs to be wired? Do I just tap into the N2O relay?

Pretty much a newb with the DFI world, so please have patience with me

Thanks!!!

Don't sweat it, the Nitrous controller on the DFI is extremely simple to use once you get it wired right.

DFI Main Harness Nitrous Connector Pinout:

Pin A => Nitrous Stage 1 Output (Connect to Stage 1 relay or solenoid)
Pin B => Nitrous Stage 2 Output (Connect to Stage 2 relay or solenoid)
Pin C => Nitrous Stage 1 Enable (Connect to switch to enable Stage 1)
Pin D => Nitrous Stage 2 Enable (Connect to switch to enable Stage 2)
Pin E => Ignition Voltage Supply (Connect to other side of enable switches)

Pin C + Pin D => Nitrous Stage 3 Enable -- turns both stage 1 and 2 on at the same time

A high signal on the enable pins arms the individual stage(s). Make sure that you use the ignition voltage supplied on pin E of the Nitrous connector to arm each stage so that the voltage references are correct. You can verify that the system is working by looking at the Nitrous system LED's on the main screen of the software. Without the relays connected, they should still come on when you reach your programmed thresholds for each individual stage.

By the way, did you try calling the Dealer that you bought your system from for support? They should be able to help you with the initial setup.

THANKS!!!
Could you perhaps give the color code of those pinouts? With my luck I'll hold the pigtail upside down and do it in the reverse, LOL. If not not biggie I should be able to figure it out.

ROFLOL, yah well you would think it would be that simple but around here it isn't. The guy who sold it to me, has pretty much evaporated, no one has heard from or seen him in months...I even paid him to tune it (he also did my motor work) and he refuses to return any of my messages. I've been getting sporadic help in EFA, but no one is 100% how to run these things no N2O and the wiring diagrams are really hard to read (for me)...so this really does help...

I appreciate it!

Never mind I found the wire coloring on the paper work I do have.

So I hook up the NOS Enable 1 (lt grn/blk) directly to my arming switch? Ok, I've done that...now do all the parameters have to be met before the "Stage 1" light will turn on in the main screen? I'm not getting it if not...the way it was explained to me was that all you had to do was "arm" the system and the stage 1 light would activate in the main screen.

I don't have a PIN E (only PIN A - D) on my schematic, what color is the voltage supply wire?

Again...THANKS!!!

The Stage 1 Light on the screen is only on when you are actually spraying -- when enable is satisfied, the parameters have been met, and the Stage 1 output has been physically turned on.

You can test it with Key On, Engine Off by using only TPS as a trigger, and disconnecting the solenoid so you don't actually flow any Nitrous. As you move the throttle past your setpoint, the Stage 1 LED will come on. If not, you have wiring issue(s).

The Nitrous enable inputs need to be fed from the PINK wire in position E of the Nitrous Connector. Press CTRL-F1 from the interface software to look at a wiring diagram with all the pin locations and wire colors.

Thanks for the help!

I got it working!!! It was ONE wire that was mis-routed the 12V source wire from the switch to the DFI. I just made the parameters REAL low, made sure my bottle was off and met the parameters...the light flashed and I could feel it stumble. I was only spraying extra fuel into the intake.

So...in short, IT WORKS! LOL

Thanks a lot broh.

Does Pin A give 12V to activate the relay or ground?
