‘88 L98 R-134a conversion SOLVED.

UPDATED:

Good morning folks,

First I’d start off by saying Rambling Garage’s YouTube tutorial and comprehensive parts list and overview is AMAZING.

With that said, the 1988 High Pressure side is slightly different than 1989. I DID happen to have the correct QD’s for the job, and I retained the factory Schrader valve on the High side. All is good now!

Thanks anyways!

-Austin

Just reference for those with the same questions in the future. QD’s do come in the ACPro R-12 to R-134a retrofit fit, it just gets confusing quickly when you have a dozen different style adapters for various GM years.

Hope this helps someone down the road!
