Champion Radiator?? Anyone use one or is there anything better?

First off my car isn't street driven, strictly a drag car. I've been using a stock replacement plastic tank aluminum radiator and it works OK. Looking to cool down a little faster and was looking at the Champion 2 row core radiators on ebay. Anyone used one? How was the fit and quality? Any better place to buy one? Any better brand?

If you use the google search on the forum it comes up with a ton of threads, seems like some people had good luck and others not so much.

I tried the champion 4 core on my pretty much stock z28. Didn't make any cooling difference. I discovered cooling has much more to do with air flow across the radiator and not so much about volume of coolant or rows. I switched back to the stock radiator and put better fans on to fix my cooling issues.

Re: Champion Radiator?? Anyone use one or is there anything better?

I just recently put a Champion 3 row in my 79 Z28, the original radiator was still in the car and had developed pin holes. The champion definitely helped out with driving on the street, no problem idling in traffic (old radiator was cored but had problems with standing traffic on hot days). The finish is nice. Not perfect but very nice for the $$. I know some other people that use them on their street cars and feel the same. (The car is mostly stock)
