a/c question

i am in the middle of an engine swap. i plan to go from Vbelt to serpentine. my cars a 83 ta. i have the low pressure switch on the accumulator. people kept talking to me about the high pressure switch. the only thing is i dont have a high pressure switch on the high pressure line.

my high pressure line looks like this

so my question is did the 83 trans am's come with a high pressure switch??

Yes.

It's in the back of the compressor.

so if im changing over to serpentine, ill need a serpentine compressor setup. would the high pressure switch still go on the back of it?

I would assume so. If not, just ground the wire that would have hooked to it.
