Can I just T the oil cooler line into the steam line at the radiator? Seems like the easiest way to do this since Im short one hookup at the radiator.

im not sure without a picture of what your asking, what I do know is oil and steam really don't mix, steam means water, am I missing something here?

That's the bung below the overflow on the rad. The taped one is coming from oil cooler and the obvious hose is the steam line. If that would be ok should be simple

I could be wrong, having an oil line and a steam line connected together can not be a good idea in any way!

Pretty sure it just uses coolant to cool the oil but I can't find a diagram

Cuz it is fed off the water pump I believe the line I wanna T in is the return to the rad just not positive

No overheating problems and what temp does it run? Are you running factory 180 degree thermostat? Thanks for the reply

I have an aluminum radiator. Its a champion so its not the best. I had to put some better fans with a shroud on it, but I also am running my tranny cooler through the ac condenser so I get a lot of heat from that. With my 180 stat in, I will get up to 200-210 when running it hard in 95 degree temps. It cools down to about 190ish when normal driving. I have a new air dam coming because mine is warped a bit. I think my fans came off of a Cordoba but not sure they were giving to me. They fit in nice just not sure how much cfm they pull. I was getting 220+ with the camaro dual fan set up with no shroud. My LT isn't stock by any means either so I know it builds up more heat when I get into it.

You T into the overflow line for the steam tube. I'd have to look at my LT1 radiator, but I believe the port for it is in the same location as the overflow port.
