Am i missing something

Ok so i cant keep my engine temp down where i want it. I was underneath it today and i see there are 6 slotted holes on the bottom side centered in front bumper, is something important for cooling supposed to be there? 91 rs got a 3 row brass rad clean inside and out, good water pump that turns the correct direction. Got the flex a lite 16" fan rated at 2000cfm.

Re: Am i missing something

There should be a " C " shaped air scoop that leads to the radiator, & an air dam that hangs down from the bottom of the radiator mount.

( edit )
Maybe thats not what you're talking about...
Someone with more knowledge will chime in....

What temperature is it running at now? The factory fan doesn't come on until 225*, so if you want to cool the car off, you'll need to put in a lower temp fan switch. You'll find the fan switch on the passenger side head just forward of the dip-stick below your exhaust manifold. I run a 215* fan switch. Also take note of this. My switch is supposed to turn on at 215*. My fan doesn't turn on until after it's over the third hash on my temp gauge, so that means my gauge reads hot, probably about 20* off from when my fan tells it to turn on.

Re: Am i missing something

Temp gauge reads bout 210, electric fan is on all the time, 160 stat 2 1/8in holes drilled in, mechanical temp gauge reads bout 10 high. Yes 210 is not high, the engine loves 160-180, 190 and higher i loose oil psi at idle. So keeping it cool helps that, ive got a taurus fan im getting monday.
