a/c compressor leaking

hey my a/c compressor is leaking a tiny bit and my a/c isnt blowing cool air at all. i dont want to drop a grand getting a new compressor and getting the whole thing converted...any suggestions? thanks.

Car: 1992 Camaro RS & 1992 Camaro RS
Engine: 3.1 L v6 & 305 (5.0L) v8
Transmission: 4L60 Auto
LOTS, buy a new compressor if it's the compressor leaking and not an o ring. DON"T buy rebuilt compressors, buy new, only 100 dollar difference. DON"T use 134a, it sucks in our cars. USE R-12 or R-414B. If you don't have the tools as far as a STRONG vacum pump, have somebody fill it for you. You need to let it stand over night to see if the vacum holds or you may have leaks if it doesn't.

make sure you have the right amount of refergerant lubercation too in the system before you close and fill it. You only need to run the vacum pump for 5 min, if you run longer you suck the lub out of the system
