My spoiler was broken free by a good samaraten that helped me push my car off of a road the other day. In the process, he broke the center section of my spoiler free from the trunk lid. Damage is minimal but in doing so he separated the spoiler from the trunk body and exposed a gasket between these two pieces. Does anyone know of a part number or source for this part? It is 5/8ths inches wide with a round lip that protrudes from the joint at the front edge of the spoiler onto the trunk lid. The overall length is about 54 inches (the width of the trunk).
I tried Steele Rubber Products but they did not have anything similar and I do not have any GM part number that I could use. I can use the old part but, after 30 years, it is cracked and has shrunk by about 1" in length. Any suggestions?
It's just a black gasket, plastic I believe.
Any black gasket cut to shape will be fine. I used neoprene approx. .10 "

I think that we are talking about 2 different spoiler designs. My gasket is 5/8 inches wide and 55 inches long. It spans the entire length across the center section of a three piece assembly that extends under the convertible spoiler along the rear quarters and across the trunk lid. Not sure what your 10" is in reference to in your answer. Thanks for trying to help.

Reason: correction of gasket location
Those are cut like that on the ends to follow the curved ends of the spoiler. Not sure if there was a glue holding it place or it was just a clamp type fit.
Mine was short or shrunk as well and I've never seen a replacement. I've looked in a few places and found something close but i just reused the original part.
