Car: 87' IROC-Z vert
Engine: 305 carb
Transmission: 700r4
asc emblem that covers rear defrost
Alright guys I searched threads for this and can't find anything on it looking for anybody that has info on the ASC emblem on dash of convertible camaro's wondering if it came on only "2" vin or "3" vin or both? the emblem covers the would be rear defrost switch.

I would suspect that the emblem was installed to cover what would have been a hole from a once installed rear defroster switch from a car that was either A) incorrectly shipped from the assembly plant with a rear defroster switch, or B) a car that was originally a T-top car that ASC converted for a dealer or individual.

that emlem like what okfox said, only came on the cars with a 2 vin that was converted by asc after it was purchased from the dealer as a standard or t-top car. it only lasted about a year after acs originally got the contract to do conversions as a factory option. after 87, chevy began providing asc with the trim panel for the dash that wasn't cut out for the defroster.
