Re: t top car worth turning to full blown drag?

since you are going full drag - I assume that you are going to use a custom full frame and a full roll cage, if so? it is up to what you like, heck a 1950 nash would work if that is what floated your boat.

P.S. wrong catagory this is the convertible section

If you truely have the skill level to complete the task... chop it up! If your unsure, on budget, skills or time. Leave it stock body. There is plenty of fast cars running modified, stock suspension.

If it was a vert... leave it alone

Don't think you understand. This is a convertible forum. Don't think anyone here cares what you do with your T-top. As far as making it into a race rig, it only takes money.

Re: t top car worth turning to full blown drag?

sorry to perpetuate this thread but...... I dont think the terms "full blown drag" and "mini spool" belong in the same post.... I think you need to figure out what type of racing you want to do, how fast you need/want to go and then figure out what u need to do to reach those goals...I personally would start with a hard top.... Now go post in the right section....

he's not..he's saying if you want to build a drag car then dont use a t-top car, get a coupe with a "solid top" so that you dont have to deal with deflection and body torsional rigidity problems that come with t-top cars. as for the fact that this forum is for convertible topics only, t-top cars arent convertibles. the guys are telling you that you are asking these questions in the wrong place. this section of the site is dedicated to questions about convertibles only. you are asking drag racing and t-top questions. look thru the site and find the right area and ask there....good luck
