Beware-Demonic13 disputing purchase almost 90 days later via Credit Car
Demonic13 (aka Jason Walsh)...I've tried PM-ing you on here, emailing you and calling you with no response. You bought an MSD distributor from me back on Oct 28, 2013. I shipped it the 29th and you had it on the 30th. This past Monday, Jan 20, 2014, I get notice from PayPal that you're disputing the charge thru your credit card company which has resulted in a chargeback to my PayPal account. While I am confident that this will be resolved in my favor, as I have provided PayPal with copies of all of our communications and UPS tracking information, I'd prefer to get this resolved as soon as possible. I haven't heard anything from you since you sent payment. If there was an issue, I think I would have heard from you before now. If you simply forgot what that charge was on your credit card, I think I would have received something like "sorry, forgot what it was, will cancel dispute." But haven't heard anything. So, I'm left assuming that you're trying to pull a fast one and are trying to screw me. However, that's not going to fly. You've logged onto here since my PM, so I know you've seen at least that attempt by me to reach you. I intend to try and have the positive feedback I left you reversed. I'm still hoping this is just a big misunderstanding...

Ed, where was this guy from?
I had a guy who bought a set of seats from me on Ebay that did the same thing to me.
Fortunately for me, he left me positive feedback, and lied when I asked him about it, so I won. Wonder if it's the same guy.
I hate guys like that- makes me wonder why I do what I do.

You do what you do well, keep it up! Don't let the few bad eggs discourage you!

I also reached out to him via his most recent post but no response. https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/exha...y-headers.html
Funny thing though, Mods must be watching closely b/c he's since been banned.

Nope, not the same guy. He was in Louisiana. His first name was Jason, though.

As its turns out, the "banned" is b/c he requested to close his account. I asked the mods if the watch emails/IP addresses to prevent him from creating a new user ID and trying to rip someone else off but they never responded....

Unfortunately it is out of PayPals hands at this point while being reviewed by guys credit card company. PayPal rep said they (PayPal) submitted all supporting documents I provided (screen shots of all PMs, UPS tracking & confirmation of delivery info, etc) to credit card company on my behalf but would take up to 75 days (PayPal rep said its his experience that its usually that full time) for cc company to reach decision and notify Paypal. PayPal will then notify me, hopefully by giving me my money back! Per PayPal rep, had this guy disputed the payment with Paypal, it would've been a slam dunk case ruled in my favor but b/c he was slick and disputed with the PayPal transaction with his cc company, it's between the cc co. & PayPal. I've never heard back from this guy (Demonic13 - aka Jason Walsh) after multiple attempts via email and phone. I should hopefully have a decision within next few weeks or so, it's been 60 days as of today since I was first contacted by PayPal about this.
I'll be surety post updates. Hope this isn't happening to you as well!

So, just looking on Craigslist for 3rd gen parts and I happened on this: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/4378196269.html
This dude Jason, aka Demonic13, is selling his car and in his listing it says "26. Used MSD Distributor Not Installed." Seriously?
Definitely same guy as the phone number he lists is what I have from PayPal and when you go to the flicker account listed in the ad for more pics, the name on the flicker account is Demonic13.
Going to contact PayPal to see if they can submit additional information to the credit card company on my behalf.
What a tool....

Yeah, so I texted him about the car and said he wasn't selling any longer. I then asked if he could return the MSD distributor listed in ad to me and at first he said he didn't know what I was talking to but then said he was a victim of identity theft and numerous accounts of his were hacked and sorry if I was one of the victims. However, this was shipped to his house to which he responded that packages were also being stolen from people's houses. He claimed the distributor and other parts were from eBay and then said he didn't even have a TGO account or a thirdgen and that he was selling a 75 camaro.
WTF?
This guy's got issues. I saved screen shots of his entire craigslist ad. You can trace back via his TGO acct the ram air hood he has, his running open headers, etc. Plus the number in the ad was his, why would someone use pics of his car with his number? After going back and forth for a bit, I finally told him I had contacted PayPal who was relaying the info to his CC company and that I was going to be contacting the Bristol, PA police. He promptly asked me not to contact him anymore. Lol
I did call PayPal and unfortunately they told me they can't submit additional info to a CC company but made made a note in my case fike. They also said, b/c I accepted payment as a gift and not as a transaction for goods, I wasn't eligible for seller protection through them. Lesson learned there - it's worth paying there small fee in in a scenario like this.
Anyway, I don't plan to call the police up there as they can't do anything for an online transaction gone sour, especially one that's only $135. It'll be a few weeks until I get the results (and reimbursement if in my favor) of his dispute, then I'll send him a little "Ha-Ha" text maybe.
I will post the pics I saved from his ad later, they're on my laptop and I'm typing this now from my phone.

Got an email from PayPal today saying the credit card company ruled in my favor and I will be receiving my $135 back. Not surprised.
FYI, not sure if I posted previously, but he sent payment as a gift (not per my request although I didn't object either) so I wasn't eligible for Seller Protection by PayPal. Moving forward, I plan to always request payment as a purchase and will pay the small fee to PayPal for the peace of mind. They would have instantly reimbursed me rather than waiting for the credit card company's resolution.

Good deal, maybe the credit card company will go after him now for false claims?
