Buyers beware "This week in Camaro/Used parts" on FB

Just like the title says, Buyers beware "This week in Camaro/Used parts" on FB.

Attached is the actual conversation with the buyer on FB. I asked about the harness condition and was told it was uncut, the other photo is what I received. What you cant see is the fact that there are 2 MORE wire nuts in the harness and the ground cable is also cut through.

Aug 3, paid for
Aug 7, Not sent, asked for tracking number
Aug 14, finally sent
Aug 16, Received item not as described
Aug 19, said another was sent, that he pulled this one by himself
Aug 20, tells me to return it on my dime, Ummm no...
then says that one will be pulled tomorrow (wait he just said he pulled and shipped one the day before)
Aug 28, asks for email so he can email a return label, still haven't received it, I filled paypal claim
Sept 4, His brother is sending parts out
Sept 6, Still nothing not even a tracking number.

I understand that the harness is old, wires discolored, broken connectors, But I cannot understand WIRENUTS, wires clearly ripped off and cut cables, when he specifically stated "all there not cut up". This whole sad event started over a month ago, and he has yet to send me a return label, or a new non-trashed harness.

I believe this person also goes by Thirdgencustoms on this forum, just as an FYI.

I won't buy from him anymore either. I waited a few months for a replacement part after he sent the wrong part.

Re: Buyers beware "This week in Camaro/Used parts" on FB

I was messaging him on FB about parts and finally quit because I could not get an answer from him on if he had them or not. Was always gonna look and get back to me. Glad I dodged that bullet.

My issue happened prior to your foot injury. And while you promised to make it up with something extra, you never followed through. I don't think you have bad intentions, but the customer service was definitely lacking. I hope you change your business practices. Good luck.

Re: 3 1/2 weeks and no parts
My man.. I hear you and have felt that frustration. I'm not here to defend Jason -- I'm here to give you a conclusion to my deal with him. For MY transaction -- he's a stand up guy. I would much rather have received the correct parts in the time frame promised.. but, at the end of the day.. my situation has been made better. I hope he'll do the same for you.

Re: Buyers beware "This week in Camaro/Used parts" on FB

I've never bought anything from him, but I follow the FB page. I hope I never have to order something from this seller. It seems like he is always apologizing and saying he is making changes, but there always seems to be more problems and excuses. This is just from an outsider looking in but it doesn't seem like you could rely on getting parts from him in a timely manner, or even the correct parts.

And please proofread your posts, it makes you look terribly uneducated and unprofessional.

Agreed, I almost ordered from him a while ago but just didn't feel right and went elsewhere. Glad I didn't after reading all this not the look of a professional business owner.

I'd rather get fleeced by David T here before going to Jason. Ya David's prices are high but he treats you well, does actually give better deals to repeat customers and gives you what you pay for as described.....

Re: Buyers beware "This week in Camaro/Used parts" on FB

Well the box showed up last Saturday, and I have yet to lay it out and look at it. Probably will do that this weekend. This morning however I did get an FB message from this gentleman telling me to send back the old one ASAP. Lol...

I'll lay it out this weekend and post the condition of it.

Then I'll send the original back, when he sends me a return label like he told he was going to 3 times. Of course I will put as much effort into send it back as he has getting it to me...

Re: Buyers beware "This week in Camaro/Used parts" on FB

@ Johnny, yeah I did receive a box, don't remember if there was a label in it. I do not remember one; however I could be wrong. Between work and it getting cold up here and I haven't touched anything. I do remember there was something cut on it, my plan is to use both harnesses to make one good one.

I feel bad that this gentleman has gotten the better of some other forum members. The funny thing to me is that in the previous post he states that he sent me one with "one little wire clip on the end". I don't understand why he bothered to send the harness "clipped". I have stripped many cars in my day, older then a 90-92 and the harnesses are complete. I didn't ask for "MINT" or "NOS" I asked for complete. Cleaning the wire, re-wrapping and adding new loom is one thing , but now I have to spend time to spice two harnesses together to make one complete one. I will send the remainder back, but after the aggravation I was caused, it will be on my time.

Re: Buyers beware "This week in Camaro/Used parts" on FB

You sir, clearly cannot read very well. The first paragraph stated that I received it, and that I do not remember if there was a label, but I do remember there was something cut. Now tonight I'm going home and I'm going to take pics so I can post the defects in BOTH harnesses. You sent "cut" harnesses, just admit it, shut up and move past FFS. The more you run your mouth the more ignorant you sound.

Lastly do not ever call me a liar, I defy you to show where I lied! I would like to remind you I still have all the pictures from our Facebook conversation where you informed me that you sent out my harness 4-6 different times, told me that you pulled it, that someone else pulled it. I could care less how it was pulled or shipped or that you got hurt even. I care that I got a defective harness.

Pic 1. You stating "100.00, Condition all there not cut up"
Stated original harness was not cut

Pic 2. What you originally sent me.
Harness pic

Pic 3. You stating that you sent me another harness that was cut.
Admitted second harness was cut

Give it a rest.

The pics worked for a little while. Looked like the harness had multiple cuts that were splice together using large wire nuts..

Re: Buyers beware "This week in Camaro/Used parts" on FB

I saw this thread and figured I'd post the link to the thread with mine and other peoples dealings with this guy. Some of the posting is a little intense. I got rather irritated with the guy and what he was pulling with me. The reason why I'm posting this is to keep people informed that have or are having dealings with this guy.

Re: Buyers beware "This week in Camaro/Used parts" on FB

I've had his paged "liked" for a while now, and after seeing this thread as well as a few others, I just can't even believe he is allowed to be a "vendor" on the site. He obviously lacks the business etiquette to be taking payments and shipping items, not to mention its constant excuses. Not even professional enough to write coherent sentences. As someone who's been buying and selling online for 8+ years, I would say to steer clear of any involvement with this individual, or at least realize there's a good chance you'll never receive the parts you were told you'd be receiving.

I feel bad for all the people he has taken advantage of.

Yeah, I unliked him after seeing all these threads.

From the amount of complaints I don't understand why he has not been banned.

There was an investigation, but I don't know the outcome of it. Or if there is one yet.

Not like a legal one. There was some investigating being done by some of the moderators. Me and a few other people had to give a detailed report of our dealings with him.

Re: Buyers beware "This week in Camaro/Used parts" on FB

I bought from this guy ONCE. I was working on finishing the install of my 93 dash into my car and wanted to replace the yellow print cluster, headlight switch, and HVAC controls (93 was the only year 4th gens had the yellow print crud), with white ones.

I paid $120. And I do recall also asking for a 4th gen radio bracket. I remember waiting almost a month to get everything EXCEPT the bracket. With no partial refund. Seems like I got my stuff because I had to keep on this guy's tail the whole time. I was told he would send the bracket on multiple occasions, and the only reason I have one now is because I had to buy an entire radio off of eBay.

And come to find out that the vacuum door switch in the HVAC panel doesn't work right (pretty sure... Need to run a couple more tests but so far it's not looking good). Not that big a deal for him since I'm sure he had no way to test it, but it does irk me. And means I have to take the dash back apart again to replace the stupid thing.

NEVER AGAIN. Even if he DOES have the black/charcoal hardtop headliner I'm looking for.

Re: Buyers beware "This week in Camaro/Used parts" on FB

Finally got my console lid about a month later. He promised me an extra part for my trouble And even acknowledged that he understood my concerns that I had mentioned on here in a previous post. I have yet to receive that extra part!

Console lid was exactly as described though surprisingly!
