The reason Thomas is asking is that he had ordered a door effect from me for his firebird, I have to admit, I've had a few employee problems and other misc. crap that has held up shipping his part. I would like all that read this to know that I am normally pretty fast at shipping, I have a good record, but I admit, I did drop the ball on this one and left it for someone else to ship while I was out of town, wrong move on my behalf! Sorry that I made you wait Thomas and as I had stated in our e-mails, I'll be glad to help out with future projects that you have and take the loss on my behalf to regain your trust, there are other members of this board that would agree with firebird 383, I'm trustworthy and helpful.

Dear Joe,
I never said anything negative about you or your company. As mentioned on the phone I am aware that sometimes things happen beyond our control and I trust you to do the right thing of what you feel is fair. If you do what you said you are going to do I feel that it is more than fair. So once again Thank You!

Thank You,

BEWARE:

Well it appears after many attempts to get Joe at F-BODY BARN to make good on his promises and do what he said he would do that I have failed. So I will warn everyone to please BE CAREFULL when dealing with this company. It began on 6/20/03 by answering an ad for 91' - 92' GTA Parts for sale. I was requesting a Door Ground Effect Piece in Black with good paint. I was contacted by Joe Vancamp VIA telephone saying that he had one in Excellent Condition and the paint was perfect (ready to install) and the price was $40.00 shipped. He said as soon as he received the Money Order we would ship it out right away. He received the Money Order on 6/26/03. I was told numereous times that it had been shipped only to find out after many excusses and requests for tracking numbers that it had not. I was called on 7/16/03 and told by Joe that he was having employee problems which was why it was not shipped and that he did not have one as stated in perfect condition and that he had one that was slightly scratched and he would send it out Overnight plus a refund in the form of U.S Postal Money Order for $40.00 due to the long wait and not having what was promised. It was finally shipped on 7/17/03 and received on 7/25/03. What I received was a Ground Effect that had a badly rusted bracket and was Rough Sanded (badly scratched) and painted with a black semi gloss spray can and wraped in bubble pack while still being wet. I have so far spent $50.00 to have it professionally striped, sanded and preped for paint. After many requests I have yet to receive the Refund as promised. So again BEWARE of:

Sorry I didn't please you, I've pleased many people but I'm not ***. If you wanted a show quality piece, you should have told me that mine wasn't good enough and it would have been fine, you should have already recieved your money back plus you still have the effect, if you didn't get the money back, let me know so I can find out what the deal is. I told you on the phone the effect had ****ty paint and was scratched, you said to send it anyhow, I then offered to give it to you, how much more can you ask for. I get tired of selling 12 year old used parts to people that expect them to be in pristine condition and when they recieve them start complaining, most people would have sent it to you and when you complained would have said ( You Got The Part), I on the other hand at least offered the refund and plan to back that up, we have already sent it. Sorry it didn't work out for you, hopefully the next time you want a pristine 12 year old part, you'll call Year One or Classic Industries. All in all, You are a very nice guy and I wouldn't hesitate for one minute to refer anyone to you, and I definately wouldn't have slandered you the way you did me, that's what's wrong with the world today, give me something for nothing, and if it isn't here overnight, your a bad guy........ Just about everyone I've dealt with on the west coast is like that, thank goodness I live out east where we remember how to treat people.

Dear Joe,
If you will recall I did request a Good Quality Part that would be ready to install and you said you had one. So I said I will take it and sent you payment for it expecting to receive it a few days after you received payment as told. Yes, you did call me several weeks later after being told several times that it was shipped informing me you were mistaken about the Quality of the part and it was not was you thought you had. YOU were the one that said you would send it overnight with a COMPLETE REFUND. I do understand the cost of overnight and I am not upset that you did not do so. However you keep refering to this part as being free but I have yet to receive my COMPLETE REFUND and have E-mailed you wondering what the status is. You keep telling me you have to check with your wife because she handles your finances and have still not even been told that you have sent it. I also consider you to be a nice guy and I am not trying to SLANDER you or turn this into a WEST COAST/EAST COAST thing as thats not how I feel. I just want you to do what you promised you would do and put this matter behind us and move forward. I posted this warning to fellow Third Genners to inform them of a problem so they do not get caught up in the same situation as I have.

Thank you,
Thomas R. ***

I told you to call or e-mail me if you hadn't gotten it, you may have tried to e-mail but my computer got hit with a ton of virus and has been down. I will again send another money order out first thing Monday morning, no snail mail this time, I'll spend the extra to priority it. I don't care what you say about me or try to show people about me on this board, I don't care, you got the initial part in the begining so you're really not out anything, I offered the refund, you should look at that as a bonus, so let me tally this up, I spent 13.00 shipping the part first round, I then have a 40.00 money order out there somewhere, which you could have cashed but are still trying to make me look like a dik, which I don't know and I don't rightly care. So that's 53.00, you only paid 40.00 and do have your part, but, I will again spend another 40.00 and this time another 13.00 for priority shipping it, there is another 53.00, so all in all it's going to cost me a total of 106.00 to get you to quit whining. You are really the only one I've ever had a problem with, 300 people on ebay have been satisfied, a few I've dealt with on here have been satisfied. Like I was saying before, it must be something out west, no wonder I've never had the desire to get out there, you got the part, I'm out a boat load of cash, I say it's time to take out that passy, change your diaper, and quit trying to bring me down, it not only makes me look stupid, it makes you look that way as well. All of this is just turning into

Dear Joe,
I did E-mail you on 8/18/03 to let you know that I did not receive the refund and did not get a response from you. I also tried calling you and it was always busy. I do understand about the Virus Problem as that I also had the same problem. I am not trying to make you look bad but just stating the facts of what has happened. I look forward to receiving the Refund and will update everyone on the status when I receive it. This has turn out to be a bad experience for both of us and I am sorry you are out all of the cash.

Thank you,
Thomas R. ***

UPDATE!!!!

On 8/29/03 I did recieve the Complete Refund Money Order from Joe. He is a man of his word and did what he said he would do. I believe this was a combination of bad breaks for Joe that lead us to have problems. But he did follow through and make it right and for that I say thank you and its time to move on.

Thank you again,
Thomas R. ***

Thanks for your update Thomas, and I'm sorry that I got a little rude, you have to see things a little from my side of the fence as well, I'm out a boat load of money over a stupid peice of plastic, but never the less, I told you in the very begining that no matter what I sell, I will stand behind it 100%, if you're not happy, than I won't be either, I'm glad we have this settled and people can see that even in a mess, we both will do what has to be done to get it corrected.
