Car: 1986 IROC-Z

Engine: 305 LG4 Carbed

Transmission: T5 5-Speed

Axle/Gears: 7.5 10-Bolt 3.42

Original Quadrajet?

My carb is a 17084284. Did they ever put 1984 built carbs on a 1986 model year or is this likely not an original carb?

An 84 carb on an 86 engine was likely a swap. Not impossible but I doubt there was 84 castings still stocked for the assembly line 2 years later.

Probably not original. Probably also not a whole lot different, esp since your car is a LG4.
