Running fuel lines and FPR location

Running fuel lines and FPR location
Where's the best location for the fuel pressure regulator when doing the EFI to carb swap with a carb that has the inlet on the passenger side, and then how do you get the fuel lines located to that location? I was thinking put the FPR on the firewall about inline with the fuel inlet and then bring the fuel lines up the firewall from the left subframe rail and then over to this location. The only issue with this scheme would be all the things on the firewall that would have to be navigated around with the tubing making it a big challenge to bend it. Another option would be to run the tubing across to the back of the engine crossmember to the right side and then up. I took out all the AC crap in my car's engine compartment, so this might be a better option. I decided to make new fuel/brake lines rather than try to resurrect my gross old ones, so I'm not tied down to where the factory lines were run.
Any pictures of people's setups would be helpful. Thanks.

Re: Running fuel lines and FPR location
I'm not done with my 400 swap but..... I am using the OE metal lines on the left frame rail with the OE flex hoses into my fuel pressure regulator all on the frame rail fender area how ever it wants to rest and I'll screw it down to the fender. From there flex hose to front of engine where OE lines where and up to carb. My inlet is on the drivers side but the hose will go to the passenger side just as easy. Don't forget a filter at carb.

Wow, that is an impressive installation and one clean undercarriage! Looks like you 86ed the power brake booster like I'm doing. I've never been a fan of power brakes.

Yes sir, good luck. Just some ideas for you to chew on
This is a fuel injection set up but the carb is practically the same.
