1985 Quadrajet will not idle correctly
I have my 1985 z28 with the quadrajet on an lg4 motor.
I had it running fine and everything but then had to pull the motor and trans for several unrelated issues.
Now that I have it all back in, it will not idle on it's own unless I drive the idle speed screw in past 1000 rpms (according to the gauge).
What could be the issue here? I've tried searching everywhere for answers to this.
I do not see any vacuum leaks anywhere. I did not touch timing during the engine removal and install.
Please help its one problem after another.

Any codes?
It's a vacuum leak, or you missed plugging something back in.
How did you manage to remove the engine without pulling the distributor?

Turns out it was egr related. Sort of. I had the egr mounted and it wouldn't run, so I took it off and put on a block off plate. Turns out the block off plate wasn't tightened down all the way so yes. It was a vacuum leak.
What could have happened to the egr?
