nozzle drip left venturi ccc-qjet
Experiencing persistent nozzle drip only in the left venturi on ccc-qjet (two different ones). What I found was slightly bewildering. Will post pics later.
Hint: drip disappeared when vacuum line was removed and 50% dwell was obtained with idle mixture screws several more turns out but idle speed remained too high.

The one on the left is the one that fails.

Re: nozzle drip left venturi ccc-qjet
The left gasket covers the lower idle air bypass feed from the main body. See how the circled part of the gasket is smaller. (gasket is upside down in the photo: right is left side)
Don't know which carb rebuild kit has this gasket in it. I've been using an assortment of rebuild kits I bought at close out off of Rock Auto several years ago. Had I noticed it would have been simple enough to modify the offending gasket upon install.
Someone should have told me to look for this....

You should look for that when you buy gaskets.
Wouldn't have thought that small difference would have mattered.
But I guess that's the difference between a CC and Non-CC QJet gasket, if I had to guess. Notice no hole for a vacuum-operated power piston on the right gasket either.

Yep. Not exactly feeling like mr. 'Attention to detail' for using two of these gaskets on different carbs but after sitting at the bench looking at one for about 30 minutes, it finally came to me.
Right gasket installed and the idle cleared up.
