fuel line removal on carb LG4 car

Car: 1987 trans am, 1988 Formula
Engine: 305 LG4, 305 LB9 TPI
Transmission: 700R4 in both
fuel line removal on carb LG4 car
Without removing the transmission... how do I remove the fuel lines from a carb car where the fuel lines crossover the top of the transmission. Im changing the fuel lines to a fuel injection car where they run straight down the drivers side. Is it possible to cut the lines? Anybody ever accomplished this?

main thing I need to know--- is there a clip at the top of the transmission tunnel that holds the fuel lines to the bottom. Im trying to avoid taking the transmission out or cutting the lines in 2 to get them out. Im changing them to a Fuel injection setup I pulled out of another car.

I have done it in the past I don't remember any clips over the trans.

there is a clip above the transmission that holds the lines in place.
