Re: tv cable and throttle hook up

This is a slightly different style throttle cable stud than you will be using, but this is where it goes (the smaller hole right above the big one your TV cable adapter arm is bolted to):

Note you will likely have to grind just a WEE bit of the TV cable adapter arm off to make it fit (but you DO have the right arm on there for use with a TV cable). The combination of the two try to occupy similar space.

In the current configuration I have it in, The TV cable is very tight, that's whats giving me tension on the Gas pedal. The TV cable is so tight I cant even put the Pedal to the floor. The throttle cable has a lot of play, and no tension on it at all. If I take the throttle cable off the carb and pull it by hand, my pedal in the car is seems like its still very low, about half of what it should be.

Is there a way I can stiffen the throttle cable, and possibly get the pedal to rise a bit.

And as far as the TV cable goes, How do I know that is setup correct for the shifting, and is that the right place for the TV cable.

Re: tv cable and throttle hook up

You've got the TV cable where its supposed to go. But you're using an aftermarket throttle cable bracket and.... what's that spring behind the cable end?

The TV cable should be JUST SHY of running out of travel when you get to WOT. It shouldn't be so tight that it prevents reaching full throttle.

Is the bracket for the throttle cable even adjustable? Doesn't look like it's even got an adjustment slider on it.
