this one: http://www.summitracing.com/int/part...3040/overview/ fits under stock C3 Corvette hood so should fit in Camaro too. And it gives alot of airflow.

Look at something with a drop base, Summit and Jegs both carry them. The Performer RPM is a pretty tall manifold, the Air Gap is probably a little higher, and if you're running a carb spacer of any size you're quickly running out of clearance under the stock hood. If a drop base air cleaner doesn't get the room you need, it might be time for a cowl hood.

at least it will give you a start in the right direction.

you have to have a drop base that has the shape for the holley dp type bowls. you also have to worry about the hei, if you dont have the smaller non-coil in cap type

L88 drop base (reproduction...cost about $50). That, combined with a 3" air filter and a lid of your choice. This allowed me to fit an AirGap with a 1" spacer and my Mighty Demon carb under my stock IROC hood. The rear of the drop base will need to be trimmed for the HEI (Not a big deal).

Not sure what the drop is on a L88 base however with an 1 1/2" drop (which is about my maximum before I get interference with the throttle spring), a 3" element and just about any lid, I get the slightest of contact with the IROC hood. That's with an RPM Air Gap intake and either a Holley, BG or QFT carb. I found the K&N Extreme lid to offer the most clearence.

I am not sure of the exact drop with the L88 base, but it seems like more than 1 1/2". Before that, I tried the generic (older) Moroso drop and it was useless. It contacted the float bowls on the Demon, it hit the linkage and it had major interference with the HEI. The L88 was much easier to work with.
