Quick Fuel Technology 680 cfm Hot Rod series carburetor

Heres some pictures of my carburetor mock up today.

I still need the fuel line kit, bypass fuel regulator, and fuel pressure gauge. All 3 should connect to the fuel line kit.

I don't know I need the throttle return spring kit for my carburetor?

dont see a port for the gauge. and i think when i raced they didnt want the regulator or pressure gauge near the engine so keep that in mind too. on my 2.8 bird the feed and return come in above the steering shaft and i made a little bracket to mount everything there.

I'm considering the HR series carb myself for a 350 that I'll be rebuilding later this winter. Nearly the same price as a Holley but with better tuning options.

It can't be mounted on the firewall is all that I remember. This rule is because if the flexplate/flywheel lets go you don't want it to take out the fuel line and pressure regulator. You wouldn't want the fuel line and regulator too close to the exhaust to keep the fuel from heating up.

the local IHRA tech said it cant be on the engine when i first went from the 6 to a carb 305(long time ago) so i put it there and never thought about changing it. its not by the exhaust, its more up on the inner fender. i think the cruise actuator used to be there

Interesting. Well ill have to check with the Quick Fuel guys see if they have any suggestions

And I didn't really see anything either but they said it hooks onto the fuel line kit, I think the opposite end from the regulator, im not sure though

looks like that is a threaded to barbed adapter, if you take that off and use a reducer or maybe they give you a reducer.

I understand the regulator, our Holley regulator for our 67 Camaro was mounted on the passenger side fender well. Although I thought I've seen pressure gauges on the inlets of the dual feed carb adapters on a few dragsters and it was that portion of what you said had me wondering. I've only had a NHRA rule book and when we went to the local IHRA track they didn't check out or car as well as our local NHRA track would.

Re: Quick Fuel Technology 680 cfm Hot Rod series carburetor

maybe the gauge can be can be either place, they sell alot of those 4150 style fuel lines with the port right on it. but mine is with the regulator, so i moved it all, didnt figure it made much difference because if its the right pressure on the output of the regulator it should be right going into the carb.
